My birthday is January 14, 1950 (No. 238). I was put on status 1-H after reporting to the San Antonio, Texas induction center in February, 1970.
I was a dependent of an Air Force officer for 20 years and lived on bases all my life up to that point, including France. Our housing was surrounded by WWI cemeteries, human remains and unexploded ordnance. I understood about war by the time I was 6 years old. There are a lot of grown men who still don’t. Wars never resolve anything anyway. My Levis were made in Vietnam – go figure.
