I was a student at the University of Georgia and I remember watching the show with my roommate Larry. Larry pulled a low number and the next day signed up for the Marines reserves.
I remember the long list of numbers being called and finally I drifted off and was asleep when my number was announced. The next day I found out I was No. 353 and figured if the Army got to my number, my sisters and mom would likely be called up at the same time. Went to class with no worries.
