I was a freshman at Georgia on scholastic probation after the first quarter.  I needed to bring my grades up by the end of the second quarter or I was toast…surely heading to Vietnam!  I was under a lot of pressure grade-wise when the lottery rolled around.

Wow, what a relief with a 300+ number.  Such a relief that I started making all A’s and B’s.  I ultimately went to graduate school at Georgia and earned an MBA.  Had a great career with the U.S. Government…traveled all over the U.S. and the Middle East.  Retired in Cape Canaveral, FL and surf fish most every day.  Kept my draft card for sentimental reasons.
