Applied for Conscientious Objector nonmilitary. Was granted I-O classification at Santa Ana, Ca draft board in Orange County. This draft board was the toughest board in the country run by far-right republicans who turned down CO requests over and over! My high school friend who enlisted after graduating at Santa Ana High was killed only six months after high school.
